Rose

Do not sever my limb

Do not place me

In your crystal vase

I will die away inside

Let my stem

Survive the lightening

Defy the thunder

Circle in the wind

Tremble in the rain

Do not steal

My own moment

Of fame

To blossom

In the sun

Let my wilted petals

Settle in silence

Beneath leafed roof

Let them dissolve, gently

Into warm Mother Earth

If you come by and I’m gone

Please don’t feel hurt

I have returned to the same realm

Where I was many of times

Before my birth

Do not cut off my limb

While I am alive

Do not place me

In your crystal vase

I will perish –

Before my time
