Before long
morning shall open its eyes
outspread its limbs
to break of day .
Darkness shall disperse,
silence will die
beneath the vibration of
our human strides.
I must say goodbye
to these rooms
where for so long
loneliness thrived
in viewless minds
of one man and one woman.
I will take with me only
lingering rosemary scent ,
possessions , two hands can carry
visual impact of nameless faces
passing along in hesitation.
The bell and joyful voices
sounds of life
from nearby school yard.
For I am only one of many
who are running away
from vilification,
empty promises
into a new suburbs –
In search, yearned for
safety house.
