Offering

I don’t need to know

Your name,

Where you come from

Which language you speak,

Whether you’re rich or poor

There is no need

To reveal your age –

After all

We are young and old –

Only once

In the cycle of life

Here – among bare trees

Feel free to shed old clothes

Unashamedly

On these grounds

You can amble,

Sense rustling leaves

Under your feet –

Talking to you

Place your frame

Onto a timeless surface

You might even hear

Swirling oceans

Mother Earth seething,

Rumbling

From her core

This is the right space

To unload

Aches from your soul

Weight of weary shoulders

Without judgement

Pause for a while

Stay silent

Each living moment can be

A reflection

On time that was,

Time to come

Absorb all what you see

Around you

The sheer beauty of protruding sky

Scattered golden specks,

Brightness of the light

The clear view of

What truly matters – and hold

Hold it tight as a precious

Offering of nature
